Cambridge Suites Hotel Halifax

This hotel has great value. The underground parking was $25 per night and it was very easy to navigate and access. The rooms were spacious and very clean. The breakfast included was a highlight. There was a lot of variety and it was well stocked. Its proximity to attractions and restaurants was excellent - we walked everywhere!

I must say I have never had a follow up call from a front desk after I've checked in. That stood out for me, on how much the service in this hotel is much better than most. The hotel seems to have been through a little refresh. Some newer looking features but the rooms still feel "old" to me, with some counters and older wooden furniture feeling like 80's and 90's. I will say the room was very clean though. I'm pretty picky about how people clean rooms and this one was well tended to. Rooms just need a bit more updating is all, could see where something was scrubbed off the wall and it took the paint or wall paper off. There is wine in the room tho! That's a great touch! Bed was super soft and made me sink to the middle of the bed though. Overall it was a nice place but just a few little things needing tending to.

Great downtown location, hot tub, sauna, gym, great selection in the continental breakfast. Our room had a kitchenette, service was good. There was a $25 parking charge...and if you want bacon or sausage for breakfast that's an extra charge, but with all the breakfast choice I was quite full.

Had a great experience... Room was spacious and super clean. Staff was very polite, quick room service. Breakfast buffet was good too . Parking is 25$ extra. Recommended.

Overall this is a nice hotel in Halifax to stay at. The pros include, location as it's on-top of the hill and close to the Scotiabank centre and restaurants. Our room was spacious with a mini suite in it. The view was looking out at the hotel outdoor parking and the Halifax citadel hill. They have underground parking but space is limited on a busy Saturday night. The breakfast included was mediocre. The service was great and they refilled trays quickly but the fruit was not ripe, eggs were odd and only 1 type of yogurt. But lots of options to put in your yogurt,muffins, bread and bagels. Bacon and sausage were an extra charge that you had to order. The hotel was pet friendly and there were a few dogs when I stayed there and to accomodate sensitivities there was a floor where no animals were allowed.
