Cambridge suites hotel halifax customer reviews

This hotel lacks many of the qualities that have become standard in similar hotels. The check in process was overly complicated and I was charged $100 for “incidentals” on top of the usual deposit. Parking was an additional $25 Rooms are tired to say the least. There is no cushion left in the cushions on the furniture. As other reviews have pointed out, hallway and adjoining room noise is very apparent. An additional $5 charge for bacon and $6 for sausage highlights the continental breakfast. If circumstances were different I would have not had the opportunity to try the room service for dinner, which was as underwhelming as the rest of my stay. The only positive about this hotel is its location. There are, however, other hotels similarly located downtown that, according to my colleagues, do not have the same issues. I will not be staying at this hotel for my next trip to Halifax and would not recommend it.

We enjoyed a lovely one night stay here. The reception staff were very friendly. Our rooms were a little dated, but clean and comfortable. Paid for a harbour view room and could not complain. Breakfast was decent. My father in law was delighted with an in room gift. Will definitely be back!

Most important was how lovely the staff were. From reception to cleaners all were super lovely and helpful. Always smiling. The rooms are a bit dated and the pillows awful but ootherwise all you need for a pleasant stay. Microwave, fridge. But no dishes or cutlery which was odd although we didn't need them. Loved the toiletries. The breakfast was very good. Plenty of Choice but if taking to the room remember to take cutlery. Location is excellent and ample parking. Free while staying there but $10 a day otherwise I think? The roof terrace gives lovely views. I would stay there again.

Our room was clean and comfortable. The bed was almost too soft if you like a firmer bed. Staff were very helpful and friendly. We usually stay here if we need to be downtown Halifax.

I just recently stayed at this hotel for 2 nights 4 women, 2 rooms. I had a horrible experience. We checked in on Friday and checked out on Sunday. Check in was fine and we left for the evening to see Glow and supper. Not much happed except for the people roaming the halls at all hours of the night being noisy and waking us up alot. The next morning as I was getting ready to leave for the day, the power went out. No generator what hotels don’t have generators?? Is this normal? So I had to go about the day, which was freezing, with soaking wet hair. Apparently Saturday was the Santa Claus parade and a bunch of streets were shut down so we went back to the hotel before it started at 6 and the restaurant was closed due to a private function. I went to bed with no supper only to be kept awake again all night due to people in the halls. I would not recommend staying here if you need a good nights sleep. You can see the light from the hall around the door so I’m guessing that’s why you hear so much noise. Just my thoughts and my experience.
