Princess royale oceanfront resort customer reviews

This place is disgusting. I was excited because I booked a regular room and they upgraded me to a condo. What a terrible mistake. There were ants all over the kitchen and they were coming from a locked cabinet that we do not have access to in the kitchen. Apparently the staff does not have a key either. While I understand that ants are not entirely their fault, the way it was handled was poor. I called room service and it took them 2 1/2 hours to get someone up to look at it. What a waste of my time because by the next morning they were back. And there were hundreds of them. When I called the front desk she said “I tried to compensate you yesterday” by giving me $60 in room credits. Well the $60 in room credits doesn’t make up for the hundreds of dollars I had to spend eating out because we could use the kitchen. I have 3 kids including a baby, so going out to eat isn’t exactly convenient for every meal. I can’t imagine what it’s like when it’s the busy season here.

Attended a special event held at the Princess Royale. Clean rooms, with a sitting area separate from the bedrooms. Living room has a sleeper sofa in addition to two queen size beds. Kitchen had microwave, refrigerator, kitchenware for four and a table for two. Free WI-FI and cable TV. Staff very friendly. It was a catered event and the food was good. Parking is a little tight, but adequate. Not the best view from our room but a small balcony was attached. Indoor pool, hot tub and restaurant located inside resort. Unfortunately not the quietest but understandable as the resort is kid friendly.

Overall I thoroughly enjoyed my stay at Princess Royale. I called a couple times before arriving, with questions about my stay and the staff members I spoke with were able to answer all my questions and were very kind. Upon arrival, the young lady that checked me in was very nice and check in was quick and easy. The room itself was very nice, we booked a newly renovated double queen suite, the updated looked was a plus. Nice living area with TV, kitchenette with full size refrigerator, small table to eat at, mini stove top, and dishes/pots and pans were available. Bathroom was nice and the room itself was spacious enough for myself, my boyfriend and our 2 year old. Our room overlooked the atrium and pool which was nice. The 1 and only issue I had was that our room could've been cleaned with a little more detail. It was clean for the most part but there was hair left behind in some areas of the bathroom and a little bit of sand on the chair in the bedroom. If not for that I would've given the room itself 5 stars instead of 4. The pool area was nice it was bigger than I expected. And the doors near the pool lead right outside to the beach which was extremely convenient. Housekeeping was fast and efficient when I called for blankets and towels and the hotel itself is perfectly positioned near everything. Close to the boardwalk and a bunch of different restaurants and sits right on the beach. We went after labor day so there weren't alot of people or children and the weather was perfect. I would definitely recommend this resort to anyone and stay again.

Very, very disappointed with this stay. We've stayed here several times over the years for NYE activities and had good experiences each time. This time, it really fell short. Paid $1,363.65 for a 5-night stay from 12/28/2024 - 01/02/2025 in room 274 which was an Oceanfront Deluxe King Room with Corner Balcony and observed the following: 1. Initially excited to see a remodeled room that was nicely decorated with nice furniture. This is a corner room with a huge balcony and gorgeous view. Unfortunately it appears the room is still being remodeled as we didn't have an updated kitchen with a wet bar, 2 burner stove and dishwasher that we observed in other remodeled rooms. We have arguably one of the nicest rooms in the hotel with the lowest grade amenities. Very disapointed this was not made clear when we checked in or we would have selected a room that was completely finished. 2. Couldn't find an ice machine anywhere. Went to the front desk and was told there are no ice machines because each room has a fridge with an ice maker. Went back to my room and of course the fridge didn't have an ice maker because the kitchen wasn't upgraded. Had to buy a bag of ice and store it in the freezer. 3. Watched TV in the living room the first night which was fine. Next day, went to turn it on and there was no power. Made sure everything was plugged in, breaker wasn't tripped and still no power. Eventually discovered that the TV and DirectTv box in the living room ONLY has power when the bathroom light switch is on. Not only is this simply absurd but such an egregious electrical wiring error makes me wonder about electrical safety in the room as a whole. 4. Speaking of electrical issues, there are only two outlets in the bedroom, one behind the bed and the other on the opposing wall with the bedroom TV and DirectTv box. The outlet behind the bed was taken up with the two table lamps and the one on the opposing wall with the TV and DirectTv box. The end result is there's no place to plug in anything else, particularly phone chargers. They have to be plugged in the living room. I've been in many other rooms with a similar number of limited outlets but those rooms had table lamps with outlets and USB ports. These lamps have none of those features. 5. There are two TVs and two DirectTv boxes, each with their own remote but only one TV remote. That means if you're using both TVs, you have to share the one TV remote to change the volume. 6. Tiniest trash cans I've every seen, they hold very little and need to be emptied every day at a minimum. 7. Most disappointing of all, ZERO ROOM SERVICE over a 5-night stay. Had to call down on day 3 to have someone come up and refresh towels and empty trash cans. For the amount of we paid for 5 nights, this is grossly unacceptable for a Motel-6, much less a resort like the Princess Royale. Overall, the room has a visually appealing decor with a nice view but functionally, falls way short given the amount of money per night and lack of upgraded kitchen area. The complete lack of room service to is indicative of a lack of management oversight of the servicing schedules for the rooms. This should never happen! I will definitely look for other accomodations and venues next year for the holidays. Really disappointed this trip.

The customer service was AMAZING! Every single person from management to staff was kind and courteous! The attention to the smallest of details was impeccable. We felt as if we were the only people there yet the hotel was booked for the weekend. The view from my room was unbelievable! We watched the sunrise over the ocean everyday! The hotel provided all the amenities we needed. The parking, beach access, pool, and restaurants are all within a short walk and easy access. A special thank you to Todd and the ladies at the front desk! You guys made us feel like family. We'll see you again soon!
