Mt. Hood Oregon Resort

Stayed here in the winter, as such the prices were low. Previous reviews mentioned the property being out of date and in need of a face lift. As such, I went in with low expectations. I could not have been more wrong. The room we stayed in (fireplace king) was extremely spacious, clean and felt updated. The room was very quiet and a short walk to the hot tub. For the price the room felt luxurious. There is some construction taking place in a few buildings, but it didn’t affect our trip. While the buildings on the property were visibly old the insides felt well maintained. The staff was relaxed and didn’t seem overworked. That said, we came during winter and there were not many guests. The pool and hot tub was clean and is surrounded by large trees. Overall, considering the price of the rooms I felt we more than got our monies worth and will be coming back.

If you are out of town, headed to Mt Hood or just looking for a getaway from the city of Portland, Mt Hood Resort is a lovely place to land. Located at the foot of Mt Hood it is a short drive to the snow or summer hiking on the mountain. Plus the atmosphere of the Mt Hood Resort can't be beat! The area is lovely, with tall trees and mossy rocks. The hotel rooms are large and clean - plenty of space to spread out and relax. The staff is very friendly though during the week they are low in numbers so be patient, they may not get to you right away. If you golf then then golf course is gorgeous. I don't golf but almost want to take up golfing just to be on this course. It is nestled into the surrounding hills with the Salmon River and streams running through. Ponds dot the landscape. The whole place is lovely. Highly recommend.

This resort was probably a hot ticket in its heyday, but it's showing its age and is quite run down. Red dots on the walls, maybe blood? Clogged shower filling with water, There was 2 cases of Gatorade bottles on the back balcony, it was a win for us, but that means the cleaning crew didn't clean/ look out there. Long dark hair on bed, hopefully the maid and not old sheets from the previous customers. Yikes.

We've come here every year for my wife's birthday and have never had a bad experience. The rooms are always clean and the staff has always been friendly and helpful. There are a number of renovations ( which is why I gave a 4 star rating) going on currently, but that didn't dampen our stay. Once they finish its going to be an even more beautiful resort. Keep up the good work an we'll be back in December.

I stayed with my husband for 2 nights, room was specious and smelled fresh. Everything looked clean and well organized. Food was really good and the staff was very welcoming. We definitely recommend this place and would stay again in the future.
