Queens pasta customer reviews

Revised review: You CAN try this place but you must order online. The brick and mortar store is not open to walk-ins. Yay! This pasta sounds delicious!...

Don't waste your money here. These people have the worst customer service ever! There's so many other places you can get fresh pasta from and cheaper!!!

This was my first visit but it won't be my last! Prompt, friendly service that didn't rush us nor push us to order more expensive items. The menu is wide ranging. My "problem" is that for future visits I won't be able to order anything other than the jumbo short rib ravioli. It was one of those rare experiences in a restaurant that I would describe as truly outstanding. Filling and a huge variety of flavors. Kudos to the chef. I have a good appetite - one beer plus that dish satisfied me and I was able to resist the tiramisu that the others at our table enjoyed. Will be recommending to our friends.

My husband booked a late lunch this past Sunday for my birthday celebration with our family. They set up a large table on their second floor and we were very happy to have a private party. Service was impeccable and everyone enjoyed their meal. My husband and I shared Veal Marsala and Penne alla Carbonara and both were excellent. Large portions so we had some for next day lunch. I highly recommend for a family gathering.

Great meatball sandwich and cider. This restaurant serves Italian food. Order dishes to share. You can sit in or out.

We arrived with a party of 8. Staff, especially Tyler the manager, was reluctant to seat us given the size of our party. They finally seated us as if they had done us a favor, slamming the chairs as they were organising the seating arrangement and literally tossing the menus in our faces! AND then proceeded to inform us that we only had an hour and a half before we had to leave. We did NOT feel welcome. There were literally two other tables seated in the entire restaurant at the time. The worst part - we voiced our concerns to the manager, total disregard and sarcasm characterised the response. We left. I rarely leave restaurant reviews but felt the need to leave this one. Horrendous service - actually unbelievable.

I've been coming to this restaurant for the last, say, 15 years or more. My first impressions were great, loved the interior, the ambiance, service, food. It became one of my favourite places. Nevertheless, as it became more popular, it started going down, largely in terms of service and ambiance, the food was still good. Prices of wine went substantially up. Now a (cheap) house wine goes for $55 per liter. Last time, we were there in December 2022 - the food was decent, guests rather loud, decoration looked tired and service ok at best. The reason I am writing this review now, 5 months later, is that I thought of going there today but read Julianne M review from February and it reminded me of a very similar experience I had before covid, when we were asked to leave after not two hours, but an hour and a half, which we did not, but the waitress made sure that we do not feel welcome, in spite of dining there in excess of, say, 30 times. The waiters and management changed a few times in the last 15 years and there is no connection there for me. I will go elsewhere. I may give it another try down the road, but I am in no hurry.
