Roam Artisan Burgers

Roam is a fantastic burger restaurant that left a great impression on me. From the moment I walked in, I was struck by the inviting atmosphere, which blends a modern design with a cozy vibe. The menu is impressive, featuring a variety of gourmet burgers made with fresh, locally sourced ingredients. I tried the Classic Burger, which was cooked to perfection, and the Heritage Burger, which was uniquely flavorful. The truffle fries were a standout side, adding a perfect touch to the meal. The service was excellent, with friendly and attentive staff making the experience even better. Roam is a must-visit for anyone who loves burgers and is looking for a top-notch dining experience.

All bun, no fun! Warning to my fellow burger-lovers: this place ain't for you. The menu is pretentious and confusing--all that "artisanal" yada yada. Rather than wade through the jargon, I opted for the "Classic," which has beef, lettuce, tomato, pickles and special sauce. $12.50 base price plus another $2.50 for cheese and extra pickles. Now, it never specified how much meat you get for this exorbitant amount of money but I expected more than the thin slab that I received. Also, I only counted 2 pickle slices. They're the only burger joint in the history of burger joints to actually charge money for extra pickles (which is a questionable business practice already), and then they leave you high and pickle-dry! Please, if you value your hard-earned money and/or respect the art of burger-craft, stay away from this place. It's the absolute pits.

Roam is a slightly upscale burger joint where you can custom create your own burger with some expensive add-ons (think $3+ dollars extra). They're definitely at the quality you would expect for a place that dishes them out quick but they can make mistakes. Fries can come out at same time and I've had service forget to combine my runny egg on my burger. Makes for messy eating.

Really good burger place near Japantown. Good vegetarian options for the Burger as well. Any burger you can replace with vegetarian option. All the burger options are good especially Fries fry Burger option is good.

We came here for dinner and had a fantastic meal. We ordered 2 root beers, a fry-fecta, and the Heritage, Sunny Side, and Chalet bison burgers. This place offers the best burger we’ve ever had at an excellent price, and we come here every time we’re in the San Francisco area. We’ve been coming here for over a decade, and we will definitely keep coming back!

Went to the new location in Corte Madera last night. The place was packed and the line was out the door, with six or seven customers ahead of us....

My younger niece thinks it's random that I will drive and bus all over the city to go to very specific restaurants, especially ones I haven't tried before....

Great burger and fries. Excellent options for GF. Came here based on recommendations on a GF website. Both GF and Non-GF burgers were excellent.

Priced high, summer salad was a tiny plate like a side salad but priced like a full meal salad. Fries are DRY, crispy but not in the good way, more like overcooked. Got the truffle n parm fries, which was ok in terms of parm flavor (not really truffle) and it didn’t come with a dipping sauce of any kind. They have mustard and ketchup and tap water self serve only. Burger tasted unseasoned. The bun was the best part… wouldn’t return or recommend.

Truly can't say enough good things about the team and food here. Tice (sorry if I spelled that wrong), Nico, and many others have been incredibly kind and helped me out when an online order didn't go through. Just good people. Def check it out. Joe

Haven’t been to Roam for several years, due to Covid travel restrictions. Finally got to try them again. This location is primarily take-out, although a few inside tables were available. Each burger is totally custom - choose the meat and how well cooked, the bun, the sauces, the toppings. There are several pre-chosen combos. I had the Chalet - beef, pink, sesame bun, Swiss cheese, cremini mushrooms, greens, tomato, house sauce $12.49 My wife had the Tejano - beef pinkish, sesame bun, pepperjack cheese, jalapeño, avocado, tomato, greens, ranch sauce. $12.99 We went down the block to the Bus Stop pub, ordered beers, and totally enjoyed our burgers.

Found this place on Google and visited whilst in San Francisco. It’s a casual burger place with so much choice, it was hard to just choose one. They were flexible with what goes in the burger too which I loved. The food was delicious, one of the best burgers we’ve had. I’d especially recommend the veggie / vegan patty, it was so flavourful!!
