People are always asking for suggestions for places to eat on here when in NY so I thought I would mention the place we ate today on 5th avenue. Been from the UK I didn't know about this place or that's it's a chain however I had a lovely meal We saw the venue after I stopped to see the beautiful art deco architecture next door at the French Building ( you might miss because of the scaffolding but it's worth seeing) which is next to the restaurant, as we were walking up to central park and we decided to call in on our way back to our hotel as we were tired and hungry. We are so glad we did, as it has A food rating, beautiful decor , it's bright upstairs and spacious. The food we ordered was amazing, both in quality, flavour and size and presentation. Excellent choice too and great drink choices including cocktails. We totally over ordered! As portions were great, the really lovely staff including the very attentive manager ( Chris ?!) and our server made sure everything was good and spent time to chat and they packed up to take home after we ordered too much We had the feta dips, hummus dips with bread and pitta, fries mango & chicken salad and the mahi mahi Tacos! Wow! that would have been enough for 3, but my son also felt he needed the fish sandwich which out faced him!! All was full of flavour and it was great value of $168 I felt for the quality of food and came with beers. Totally relaxed vibe with live music playing which was pitched great for the vibe and wasn't over powering at all. Loads of space and not busy. There is also a great bar doing cocktails in the downstairs too on deals If you like fish, check this place out.

My visit to NY was relatively unsuccessful. But as I wandered down 5th avenue with tears streaming down my face, I came upon Tommy Bahama Restaurant and Bar, I knew I had to stop by. Fantastic atmosphere. Very kind staff, excellent meal. I realized that this was what I had been missing during the whole trip. In fact, this is a place that will definitely encourage me to come back to NY again to explore the city. After the meal, I also slipped into the shop next door. That was great. When I was offered a glass of water or prosecco, I realized that exactly such feelings appeal to me and make me happy. Thanks to the great staff.

We always enjoy stopping here. The coconut cloud martini's and one in our group had the crab bisque - amazing! Our server was great.

Fantastic food and even better prices on apparel! Staff and management was very helpful and made the experience even better!

Convenient location with excellent ambience for TB brand. Great idea to have co-located with clothing shop. Bringing the paradise to NYC.
