I am writing in regards to your employee Gavin! My company was very picky with dates and venues for our Christmas party. Gavin went above and beyond to ensure I found the perfect venue. He would come back with numerous venues, and when I declined then, he would be straight back with a new list! Gavin demonstrated great communication skills, always checking in and giving updates. Our party is now booked because of Gavin, and we are all so excited. He is an asset to your company!

Difficult to see the stage and the "bar cops" at the downstairs bar were a pain! They only let certain people stand at the bar (their friends?) and told other people they had to clear a path at the bar - even after they bought a drink. So you're stuck in a sardine crowd, in front of a rope, holding a open drink. Nope - never again.

There's no way they didn't oversell the PJ Harvey show I attended last night. I'm far from being new to NYC venues - I'm from here and am a lady of a certain age. But it was overwhelming - and if you could find some space where you weren't trying to avoid breaking your nose on the back of the person ahead of you, you were reminded of the crushing crowds by the stifling body heat. I saw absolutely nothing of the show and even though the acoustics were great, it was hard to enjoy with everyone pushing each other and being unable to see at all. I've said I'll never go back, but this time I mean it. People will get killed here if something goes wrong.

I have never felt more unsafe at a concert in my life. This place needs to be shut down by the fire department. Parents: I HIGHLY recommend not letting your kids go to shows here. It is operated so recklessly and irresponsibly. Not safe for teens or anyone else. I went to the PJ Harvey show last night and the venue was WAY oversold. They packed people into the venue in such an unsafe way with zero crowd control built in. There were no egress paths and it took us 10 minutes to walk the 15 feet back to the exit to escape the crush of the crowd. We left the show as soon a I realized how recklessly the venue was being operated. We heard maybe 3 songs, and were never even was able to see the stage through the crush. Total waste of time and money. If there had been so much as a small fight in the middle of the room, it would have triggered a crushing stampede. Someone would have been killed.

Maybe the worst venue in New York. I have been here over a dozen times over the years, despite vowing to never return each time. The location is far from any trains, which would be ok if it was the only drawback but its far from it. The venue is consistently oversold, making it impossible for most of the audience to see the performance. Even at shows that aren't sold out its very difficult to see the stage. I am not short, (5'10') and I have rarely had a clear view of a performance here in all the times i've visited. I feel terrible for the shorter people who spend money just to look at the backs of people's heads because the stage is too low and provides terrible sight lines. Even in the balcony it's practically impossible to see the stage. I walked out of last night's PJ Harvey concert for this very reason. They have great programming here, which is actually a bummer because it means these great acts aren't playing in an environment that they deserve.

I liked the venue, typical SRO kind of place. We were on balcony, sound was very good, with plenty of places to get a cocktail. It’s what it is, you’ll like it if you’re there to see something you like enough .
