Lots of concrete, very peaceful. The many security officers are not so friendly. Still, there are certain halls into which they do not enter. The geese are fickle. They snap at flesh and feather alike. They can be bribed.

Some of the most incompetent, most entitled, rude “teachers” and supporting office staff working here i’ve ever seen in my life. Especially in the office of the dean. They need to learn to perform their job properly first without errors before sending out rude, ignorant emails to student blaming them for failing when THEY chose to go on strike for half the year asking for more money. Here is an thought, MOST OF YOU DON’T DESERVE IT because you’re terrible at your job. Pathetic. If you’re reading this do yourself a damn favour and go to another school at all costs. Fire all the office staff for the love of God they’re all useless.

I wish I can give 0 star! We needed to enter the parking for Canlan sports! Our club is renting the rink. However, they close one of the entrance for convocation! This parking has nothing to do with convocation! If you did not block the other entrance, why did you block this one?!!! It is because the security staff does not have brain to do good coordination and planning, so they decided to do this at our cost! A

It's a good university. The campus is beautiful. I've met very nice and knowledgeable professors. I can't give it 5 stars though because I feel it hasn't met that level yet. Tuition is expensive and year long parking permits are expensive and scholarships are hard to obtain.

York University’s main campus is large, basically being bounded by Jane-Finch-Steeles-Keele streets. It’s fairly accessible to travel by subway or transit to Yorkdale Mall, highway 7 /407 interchange, and even Bloor Street-downtown Toronto. The road construction is horribly long on Finch Street. It’s easiest to enter the centre of campus from Founders Road off Steeles Avenue West. A right turn off Founders would lead to the stadium and eventually to apartment-style accommodations further South. From Founders, the third turn in the opposite direction of MacDonald Blvd. at the roundabout—past older residences by Ottawa-McLaughlin—leads to the heart of campus (unless passing Seneca College buildings at the Keele entrance further South). MacDonald-York Boulevard will take you to the Mall, straddling Schulich school of business and Ross or library buildings to the West: North of the Second Student Building. Parking is $15 max either beyond the newer Atkinson residence (if not at Vanier Lane-MacDonald near Kaneff); or else, a small car lot is on the West side of Atkinson, facing Scholars Walk with stairs to the modern glass Second Student Building—sitting high above Pond Road. Some restaurants are on the South side with more decent restaurants located along Steeles West of Keele up to Bagel Nash (or 168 Sushi if you like buffet) near Dufferin. Most places presently don’t require a facemask, and sanitizer stations are near entrances. Elevators have a max capacity of 2 persons for social distancing, and I could understand if students would want to use a longboard to roll around. It’s a lot of ground to cover, even if you have a car or transit/Presto pass!

The Glendon Campus of York University consists of two parts. About half is the table land above the valley; this is where the buildings are, except for the Procter Field House, which is about two-thirds down to the valley. Most of the buildings are architecturally negligible, but the original Wood mansion, Glendon Hall, is very attractive. At present none of the buildings is open, but the grounds are a very attractive park, with many different kinds of trees and shrubs. The lower half of the campus can be accessed by a one-way road, by a series of steps, and by the Escott Reid Walk, which begins behind the Woof Residence and leads to the valley. The valley itself features tennis courts, a playing field and a very agreeable trail along the West Don. At present it is slippery, but when the spring comes it will be a walk well worth taking.

Visited the campus while in Toronto and the campus has well maintained buildings and grounds. Though I didn't get to attend any type of class(es) the overall educational atmosphere seemed positive with friendly students.

My son spent 4 years here and I 1 year before going south. The staff are top of their fields but also very politically correct. A 2/3 female ratio with a blow to free speech and debate. A modern contemporary school.
